Are you a registered patient, service user or carer living in Hounslow or Ealing? Would you like to get more involved in planning and buying local health services? The NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups are the statutory organisations responsible for planning and buying local health services in your area. They are hosting five training sessions to give people more information about the local NHS landscape, explore what it means to be a patient lead/representative, plus some insight into the three main stages that our organisation follows to plan and buy health services. Healthwatch Transforming Services Workshop

Healthwatch Ealing will be running a workshop on the changes happening to Health and Social Care Services in the borough, on Friday 14th March 5:00pm – 8:00pm. This will be an opportunity for people to ask questions of representatives from key strategic organisations such as Ealing Clinical Commissioning Group (ECCG), Ealing Hospital NHS Trust and North West London NHS. Residents’ Recycling Rewards Scheme

A new membership reward scheme for recycling has been launched in Ealing by Green Redeem. By becoming a member of the scheme and recycling, members earn points that can be used for a variety of rewards, such as discounts in local shops. In addition to the rewards, members can also donate their points (which are turned into grants) to pre-selected community projects. Members will earn their first points for recycling on 31st March, with registration commencing on the 24th March.

Train to be a Health Champion

Would you like to know how to improve health standards within your community?\r\nHealth Champions are fully trained volunteers working in the community to promote public health. The next free two day training programme is on Wednesday 30 April, 10am to 4pm and Wednesday 7 May, 10am to 4pm and offers you the chance to become an accredited health champion.\r\n \r\nYou will also have the opportunity to sit a short exam at the end of the second day which consists of 30 multiple choice questions over 45 minutes and be awarded an accredited certificate\r\n \r\nTo book your place please click here.
