Women of the Year Award 2015 : Womens Forum Success Stories

The Rickyard, Ealing was transformed by the Womens Forum “Women of the Year” event on Sunday 14th June 2015. The area was decked with gazebos sharing information from local businesses such as CAME, ECVS and Maendeleo Consultants Ltd along with workshops, activities, entertainment and a constant assortment of freshly prepared buffet style foods.
Our appreciation goes out to:
My Fair Lady Cakes provided the catering for the entire event which hosted over 100 people.
Barbara Pearce-Scott snapped her way through the crowds capturing moments of laughter with Laughing Yoga instructor Soni as many joined in the bubbly choreographed exercise dance with Charlotte from Boogieful.
Marcie Lee played an instrumental part in providing body ‘tapping’ to ease aches and pains along with Spa Isha who were in continuous demand for neck and shoulder massages.
Yewande soothed and massaged hands with fragrant natural oils to passers by whilst Laurie O’Garro helped numerous individuals realise their full potential through Goal Setting.
Lotti empowered many women with mind over matter ‘walking barefoot on broken glass’ without a single bandage needed.
Jai Blue presented a beautiful musical solo piece just before the ceremony began and paved the way for strong poetical voices of spoken word from WAPPY performers and Akuba Quanza to inspire the audience.

Our newly seated cabinet MP for Ealing Central and Acton, Rupa Huq announced the winners for all 7 categories whilst Ambika from ECVS effortlessly held the fort as the evenings compere and host.

We would like to send a “Big Thanks” for the sponsored contributions from the following:
